The Borough of Trafford is seeking applications for a full-time secretary position. Trafford Borough, located in both Westmoreland and Allegheny Counties, has approximately 3,100 residents. Essential duties of the secretary include but are not limited to fielding resident inquiries and complaints in-person and on the telephone; collecting payments for sewage accounts, park rentals, and permit fees; recording and tracking payments; reconciling bank accounts; handling both accounts payable and receivable; assisting the borough manager in daily operations of the municipality; attending all regular and special council meetings; and preparing agendas and minutes for all meetings.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with the public in a customer service setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Experience working with QuickBooks
The position is non-exempt and includes a full benefits package. Salary DOQ.
