Gibson-Thomas Engineering Co., Inc. is a full-service civil engineering firm based in Pennsylvania that provides engineering design and construction inspection services to clients on projects of varying sizes and complexity. We are a growing firm with Pennsylvania offices in Latrobe, Camp Hill, Indiana, Wexford, Fayette, and Washington.

The Role

We have openings for seasonal and full-time Municipal Inspectors in our Latrobe office. Ideal candidates for this position will have Municipal/Site Development construction inspection experience for municipal and private clients.

Responsibilities

On-site construction inspection of varying municipal or private sector projects including:

  • Street and roadway paving and improvements
  • Subdivision, land development, and site developments
  • Storm sewer and pipe installation projects
  • Stormwater management and NPDES/E&SC inspections
  • Community and municipal planning, streetscapes, ADA, parks and recreation projects 

Qualifications

  • Ability to read construction plans
  • Familiarity/proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to tabulate quantities from both plans and field measurements
  • Ability to work independently as well as lead and work in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with Municipal Planning Codes and Ordinances
