Cake Decorator

Kuhn's Market is a locally owned and operated supermarket chain, with 8 locations throughout the Pittsburgh area.  We are currently seeking a Cake Decorator to join our team at our Banksville Road location.  As a Cake Decorator, you will frost cakes and other products. You will decorate and write messages on cakes using pastry bags and tips. Package cakes for special order and back stock.

Job Duties:

• Frost, decorate and write messages on cakes and other products.
• Provide exceptional service to each customer.
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag bakery products.
• Manage/rotate cake dates daily.
• Receive and process cake orders.
• Manage cake and icing inventory.
• Manage cake decorating station:  preparing icings and following all sanitation procedures.
• Maintaining a positive, friendly working relationship with customers, team members and leadership.
• Stock and maintain product and displays according to quality and merchandising standards.
• Occasionally help with deli and other bakery duties.

Qualifications:

• Previous cake decorating experience
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to bend, squat, climb and lift objects overhead
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 40 pounds
