The Leechburg Borough Civil Service Commission is conducting testing to establish an eligibility list for the position of Patrol Officer. Applicants meeting the minimum qualifications will be scheduled for Modified Cooper Standard physical test to be held on Tuesday January 10, 2023 at the Allegheny County Police Training Center, 700 West Ridge Drive (North Park), Allison Park, PA 15101-1799 at 9:00 a.m. Applicants should arrive at 8:30 a.m. Those arriving after 9:00 a.m. will be considered late and will not be permitted to test. The written examination will immediately follow to be held at the Riverbank Center, 152 Market Street, Leechburg, PA 15656-1320.

A non-refundable $25.00 application fee is required for each returned application via a check or money order payable to Leechburg Borough. The deadline for completed applications will be accepted until, December 19, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.

Applicants must be a United States Citizen, at least 21 years of age by application acceptance deadline, possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a graduate equivalency diploma (GED), possess a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Operators License, be ACT 120 Certified under the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Act. One must be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a Police Officer for the Borough of Leechburg as determined by the physical and psychological testing.
