Buildings & Grounds Supervisor

Ligonier Valley School District is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the Buildings & Grounds Supervisor. The successful candidate for this full-time position will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and custodial operations of our school buildings and grounds within the entire district.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to: supervision and leadership; building maintenance; grounds maintenance; collaboration; compliance and safety.

Qualifications: Five years experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related field; strong leadership and team management skills; knowledge of safety regulations and procedures; ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, staff, and external contractors. Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred, but not required. Must possess comprehensive knowledge of building operating systems and regulation codes; sufficient knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC, electrical and facility disciplines; sufficient knowledge of trades (i.e., masonry, carpentry, metal working, painting, etc.); turf management and herbicide/pesticide experience preferred. Must possess valid PA driver's license; submission of pre-employment medical examination (Section 148 of PA School Code); must possess Asbestos Supervisor Certification; submission of required school clearances according to PA School Code.
