Social Services Coordinator
OHara Township is seeking a qualified candidate for a licensed Social Services Coordinator. The Social Services Coordinator will be responsible for providing short-term crisis and social services for individuals identified through the Police Department and other departments. Services include but are not limited to, crisis intervention evaluation, course of action, providing information about available resources, and assistance obtaining timely access. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the ability to work cooperatively with treatment and criminal justice systems, appearance in court when subpoenaed and maintaining accurate and current case management files. The applicant shall have a Master's Degree in Social Work (MWS), National Organization of Social Work (NOFSW) Certification, a minimum of three years of related social work experience, previous experience in crisis intervention, knowledge of acceptable Social Work practices, and procedures related to governing laws, an understanding of working in a law enforcement environment, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a valid drivers license.
