Business Processes Senior Consultant for SAP America, Inc.
Purpose and Objective:
SAP America, Inc. seeks an Business Processes Senior Consultant at our Pittsburgh, PA location (and various client sites nationwide) to drive business process consulting by translating customer business processes into IT solutions, including quality assurance.
Expectations and Tasks:
Help position disruptive business innovation. Support the transformation towards the Intelligent Enterprise. Support end-to-end solution design across all relevant solutions (OnPremise, Cloud and Hybrid), applying state-of-the-art methodologies. Participate in transition planning of customer solution landscapes. Drive deployment of SAP Model Companies for specific area of business. Demonstrating profound knowledge of modeling standards and tools. Support of pre-sales activities. Performance of feasibility studies/solution reviews. Support in escalated projects. Support respective line managers in people development tasks. Deliver customer workshops and training. 70% travel required to various client sites nationwide.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field of study and 6 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 4 years of experience. Employer will accept 3 year degree or combination of degrees/diplomas as meeting the Bachelor’s degree requirements.
Work Experience:
Experience must involve 4 years with: Plan and drive execution of the SAP portfolio & service plan, methods and tools, and best practices across all systems & landscape environments around the Intelligent Enterprise (Analytics, Cloud, Mobility, HANA, Sybase); SAP S/4HANA platform; SAP NetWeaver, Data Management, Enterprise Architecture and infrastructure including implementation of SAP HANA, Cloud Infrastructure, OS/DB platform and Unicode migrations, SAP release upgrades, hypervisors virtualization, and implementation of SAP solutions in both private and public cloud environments in execution; Operational Systems (BC-OP), Client Server Technology (BC-CST) and Databases (BC-DB); Debugging the NetWeaver Core, HANA internals and Software Logistics core components; SAP Development processes and ability to conduct code analyses; operating source code revision systems/tools; implementing and troubleshooting HANA Scale Up and scale-out, and implementing HANA related software including SLT, Data Services, Dynamic Tiering, Smart Data Access, Smart Data Integration, and Smart Data Quality; Propose optimizations and use of new HANA features; Drive bug resolution of HANA components; running de-escalations strategies, exit criteria’s and communication plans; Root cause and perform trend analysis to determine patterns and identify gaps in the SAP products; and operating source code revision systems/tools such as Perforce depot, Glimpse, TREX, Bugzilla, GitHub, Jenkins, vim, gcc, makefile, gdb to resolve complex product issues. 70% travel required to various client sites nationwide.
