Position Overview (Job Summary) IT Systems Administrator performs various functions associated Information Technology
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• IT support for the Tribune-Democrat and Times-News
• Able to assist other newspapers through ticking system and remote software.
• On call weekend and nights
• Knowledge of Pc’s ( Mac OX and Unix a plus ) MS office, printers.
• Support door and video security systems.
• Support business office, run reports when needed.
• Run reports daily and upload files to FTP sites.
• Knowledge of networks, switches, routers, how to terminate cables with RJ45 fittings.
• Setup and maintain iPhones and Android phone and devices.
• Keep a running inventory of computers, printers and devices
• Support nightly backups
• Needs to keep up on current IT changes Physical Demands (If any)
• Must possess the physical strength to lift computers, monitors and printers.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb ladders.
• Must have current driver's licenses.
Minimum Qualifications
• Hours worked may vary due to special projects or system emergencies.
• 24/7 off-hours support including weekends and evenings as required.
• Candidate must demonstrate excellent time management & organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize multiple, concurrent work activities.
• Must be able to react to change in productively and handle other essential duties as assigned.
• Provide basic administration of network accounts and passwords.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well with customers, peers and vendors.
