Position/Hours: Wild Camp Recreation Aides (Mon-Fri / 9:00 am – 3:30 pm)
Four positions for Grades 4-5
Two positions for Grades 6-8
Summer Camp Recreation Aides (Mon-Fri / 9:00 am – 3:30 pm)

Before Camp Recreation Aides (Mon-Fri / 7:00 am – 9:30 am)

After Camp Recreation Aides (Mon-Fri / 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm)
Two positions
Wages: $15.11 - $17.65 / Hr.
Position/Hours: Recreation Aide Teen Lead (Mon-Fri / 9:00 am -3:00 pm) - One position
Wages: $16.08-$18.81 / Hr.
Position Description: Supervise, monitor, evaluate, and assess program participants. Direct and participate in program activities to include arts/crafts, drama, music sports, games, hiking, and swimming.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school graduation/GED equivalent. (2022 graduating seniors may apply)
2. One year experience working with children in a structured program.
3. CPR and Basic First Aid Certification (able to obtain as agreed/specified).
4. Food Handler’s License (able to obtain as agreed/specified).
Ability to swim and/or possess lifeguard certification. Physical Demands: Frequent walking, running, standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and moving/lifting up to 30 pounds. Occasionally transport/set-up equipment tables/chairs. Frequent interaction with children in physical exercise, sports, and games, hiking, and swimming. The incumbent must be able to traverse uneven terrain as activities are frequently conducted in an outdoor environment.
Terms of Employment:
Must pass a background check. Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless, exempt for qualifying medical/religious reasons (proof of vaccination required).
Seasonal Maintenance Workers
(1 six month position-primary focus parks: April - October)
(2 three-month positions-primary focus parks: June - August)
(2 three-month positions-primary focus streets: June - August)
Hours:40 hrs/wk - Applicant must be able to work flexible hours to incl. weekends and holidays.

Position Description: Performs semi-skilled work under limited supervision. The Maintenance Worker, whose primary focus is parks, will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance/repair of the Town’s parks, buildings, and grounds. This individual may be called upon to mow, trim, weed, prune, aerate public grounds/parks, and assist in the collection of litter/cleaning of park restrooms. The Maintenance Worker, whose primary focus is streets, may be called upon to assist in the maintenance/repair of streets, and perform flagger duties.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
2. Must be able to understand/execute written/oral instruction.
3. Previous experience in parks/grounds/building maintenance/repair and/or previous experience in the minor
repair of streets desired. A combination of experience and training providing the knowledge, skills, and
abilities to perform the duties of the position will be considered.
4. Possession of a valid Washington State Driver’s License / good driving record.
5. Flagging card (ability to obtain within an agreed/specified period)
6. Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation Certification (ability to obtain within an agreed/specified period)
Physical Demands: These positions require incumbents perform strenuous physical labor in a safe manner. Incumbents must be able to work at ground level as well as heights normally accessed by ladder. They must be able to traverse uneven terrain as the worksite is the outdoor environment. Incumbents must be able to negotiate safely in a traffic environment. These positions require employees work in inclement weather. Employees may have frequent exposure to loud noises, extreme heat/cold, and hazardous materials.
